When I was a little girl, I would make my own “dolls” by drawing and cutting out characters for my stories. From there on, I knew my passion was in filmmaking. Fast forward to two decades later, I am lucky enough to have worked with amazing actors and was able to make my stories come alive. My style of writing is a mix of comedy and drama. Sometimes I like to add some raunchiness to my comedy. Gotta spice it up, once in awhile!

I grew up in Flushing, Queens where Asian food and culture play a big role in my art and identity. Music and fashion around the world also get my creative juices flowing. Being in a diverse city inspires me to share people’s beautiful, unique stories.

Some of my favorite filmmakers include Sophia Coppola, Ang Lee, Billy Wilder, Zhang Yimou, Park Chan-wook, Wong Kar-wai, Alfonso Cuaron, Alfred Hitchcock and Charlie Chaplin. I am a strong advocate for diversity in the entertainment industry -- especially for Asian Americans. On a side note, I can make a killer lychee martini! Hit me up if you want to collaborate or chat about culture, art or current events.
